(FO9AP)- Athena. Rumors abound throughout the Kingdom of mysterious goings-on in our beloved Foxwood! A high-placed source known for incontestable veracity and most forthright moral virtue has informed this reporter that there is the highest likelihood that an INTRUDER IS LOOSE in Foxwood!

With preparations already well underway for the possible long-awaited return of King Anton, there couldn’t be a more alarmingly disruptive threat to the peace and prosperity of our happy land at this time! This concerned reporter would like to warn the citizenry against engaging in any ill-informed (non-Gazette-reported) gossip-mongering or idle speculation that could lead to a general panic and anarchy in the streets!

HERE IS WHAT IS KNOWN: A brave and patriotic stringer-on-assignment-at-large for this newspaper risked his life to follow a lead that took him far out onto the Wolf Steppes yesterday afternoon, even as one of the fiercest thunderstorms in the history of the Steppes wreaked havoc in that area. What he may or may not have witnessed there was the invasion of our realm by an ALIEN INVADER! The extraterrestrial being in question may or may not have been taken into custody immediately by a special detachment of Wolfen Guardians. Or then again, the alien may still be loose on the Steppes or have entered the actual Princesses’ Provinces of Foxwood by now. Remember, panic is strongly advised against! One high-placed source within the hierarchy of the Foxwood community opined that if the alien is indeed already in the custody of a certain “Knight N.” of the Wolfen Command, this could only raise questions as to how this Wolfen Commander might have been alerted to the location of the alien’s intrusion so quickly…(!) This newspaper will not be a party to any such irresponsible and possibly libelous speculation such as this, until such time as it might very well become appropriate…

THERE IS MORE!: Late reports of THE ALIEN INVASION OF FOXWOOD paint an entirely different scenario of the alien incursion! These rumors have the alien (possibly a BOY!) mysteriously appearing in the deepest northern forests of Foxwood, where he was hunted, unsuccessfully, by Wolfen Guardians for several hours before the hunt was finally called off. The incident is now officially being considered to be a gossip-fuelled hoax, possibly stoked by the more likely to be true reports of the alien invasion of the Steppes. The Wolfen Guard Command refused all comment on the rumor, except to dismissively disparage the idea that the subject of a Wolfen hunt could ever escape their elite hunters. However, trusted sources within the forest tell this reporter that the Wolfen Command has requested that a resident of the area, a well-known Fox Savant identified only as “W.”, come in for questioning at his earliest convenience…
